Sara Grey is one of the finest interpreters of American Old-Timey music on the scene today. She is one of the foremost exponents of the old-time style whether singing or playing frailing style on the five string banjo. Although American by birth Sara has been touring the UK for the past 30 years and has lived here for many of those years. She made two very popular albums for Fellside back in the 1980s and this is a renewing of that acquaintance. Unaccompanied or accompanied (variously) by 5-string banjo, guitar, fiddle and additional harmonies Sara presents a charming set of songs which provides an insight to the traditional aspects of the more commercial music brought to prominence by the film 'O, Brother Where Art Thou?'
