Eve was born near Auchterarder in Perthshire and began her professional singing career with the Cyril Stapleton Orchestra. In 1969 she became a founder member of The New Seekers, who were undoubtedly one of the major success stories of the seventies. Eve sang the lead vocal on the majority of the group's hits, achieving worldwide fame which stands to this day. ''I'd Like To Teach The World To Sing'' became known throughout the world as the ''Coca Cola'' song and in 2005 it was voted the greatest song ever used in a TV commercial.
