Amazing band. Karyn Kuhl, the lead singer and guitarist for Sexpod, is a preternatural musician and songwriter. Her guitar work is surely in the upper-echelons of alternative rock creativity. Bassist Alice is eye-opening - the kind of thumping bass lines that stand alone, not just stay in step with the drums. A few macabre lyrics, but the same went for their distant cousin, Nirvana. "Home" is unique and addictive, and it's confounding that Sexpod did not reach a bigger audience during their run. Luckily Karyn Kuhl is still performing solo in and around NJ/NY. If you are treated to one of her solos, you won't soon forget the experience.
